Present Use

The Deep Water Jetty was mainly used by fishermen and the occasional passing yacht until the Loch Sport Boat Club took over the present site in 1992. The jetty has now become the cornerstone for all the Club's on-water activities.

State and national Yachting Championships are presented by the Club as are local competitions, navigation and safety events. On New Years Day the Club stages a fun family day featuring a Sail Past and Salute. More community involvement is planned for this event as are boat inspections and safety courses.

A boat harbour with moorings for permanent, overnight and holiday boats would complement all these activities. The harbour would also add a vital safety haven for the whole boating community.
